This
first song is one of my favorites. It was beautifully sung
by an old friend of mine and wonderful singer,
Suzanne Palmer (picture). I recorded it in my home studio
and played the instrumental tracks.
True Love
"I’ve
listened to your songs. All great but my very favorite
is “True Love”.
I’m a female vocalist and love music. Good
luck in your musical adventure."

Listen
To Your Heart
I wrote this one for the planet
I wrote this reflective number in
Chicago with lyricist June Shellene. Even though there
were lots
of gray days there in the winter, this song is one of
hope.
One More Day
"What
a beautiful song! I have listened to it several
times since receiving this e-mail. I love the arrangement
and the instrumentation, especially the piano part,
which is excellent. Thanks so much for sharing this.
You are obviously living one of your passions as
you compose and perform your music."
-- Susan Baaray
Here's
one of my favorite songs to sing and play bluesy
lead guitar on!
This is a "live" cut recorded in my home
studio. Let's hear it for the virtual reality :)

Ever
My Heart
"Enjoyed
your song, Ever My Heart! It
instantly reminded me of Celine Dion.
The more I listened the more it reminded
me of Celine. I have listened to her
since the begining of her career and
your song has a Celine feel to it

While most of the songs on this page are original pop, blues
or rock, I studied Jazz Guitar pretty
seriously at one point so I thought I'd include an example
of my jazz playing and singing on a standard.
One
of the greatest times in my life was in my 20's
when a was a full time musician with a band
called
Redwood Landing.
This song was co-written
with my good buddy and singer Neal Howe.

I really like the energy of this song.

"I
just have to tell you that I think you've
created something very special. I absolutely
love this song!
I've spent the last half hour listening
to it and it's so much more than a product
or song. It's an amazing, unbelievable experience.
The passion and energy of the music and
lyrics are phenomenal. I was moving to the
music and whooping and laughing in delight.
It gave me what I like to call 'angel bumps'.
Truly inspiring.

In
addition to writing my own songs, I love rearranging
some classics.
Here is a funky/reggae re-arrangement of a 1960's
classic by the
Lovin' Spoonful. There are some nice rock guitar
solos here.
Summer In The City
This
is an R&B Ballad that I wrote a long time
ago with Laurie, it won an
honorable mention in a Billboard song contest.
"It
was not until this morning that I discovered mitchsongs.com.
Wow! What an incredible treat that has been. I've
played the songs several times today and added the
site to my "Stress Relief" bookmarks. God
has truly blessed you with gifts galore! Brainstorm
-- I think you should release karaoke versions of
the songs ASAP! My husband and I would certainly love
to include them in our weekly karaoke adventures.
Meanwhile, I think you should record your own CD for
the benefit of your personal niche market if nothing
else.;-) I'd certainly buy the CD."

"I enjoy your music immensely, and admire the
fact that you are pursuing your passion. You inspire
me to persevere in my own passion – my art –
which, along with music, is one of the few things
that touches my soul. No hard feelings if you decline
to open the attachments (opening attachments from
strangers these days...) but I’ve attached a
couple of my works in the hopes that it can offer
you some sort of encouragement as well.

"You
just inspired me to write my own theme song. (I have
not written a song
since I was 7 years old.) I just thought you might
like to know how much of
an inspiration you are!"
